I was going though all my old PC games today having a bit of a 'throw away session' and cam across a couple of great ones that i'd totally forgotten about!!!

Rayman 2... how absolutley bleeding awesome this was!! totally forgot I had it,.. whacked it on the Laptop and loved it,.. such a great game,.. i think i even preferred it to the original 2d Rayman i had on the old PS1!! love it love it love it
Posted Image

Ignition,.. fantastic game,.. 3dfx graphics, wicked soundtrack and lovely physics, This game is now Abandonware and available free.... get it now!!! there's a mini in it!!...>

Posted Image

Expendable!!! Anyone else remember this one?... I got it free a long time ago when i bought a Voodoo2 chip set.. Nice graphics, stupidly hard levels,... and great sounds... it was a test bed game really to show off what sort of shiny effects and smoke and fire etc the Voodoo2 could do, a bit like serious sam started out...loved Expendable!!
Posted Image

Need for speed 2,... Stupid physics engine,.. Old performance cars like Maclaren F1's and XJ220's!!! 3dfx mode was almost impossible to impliment with only a few 'sacred' users finding out how the hell to get it working,... nevertheless,.. a fantastic game that i loved to play
Posted Image

Finally..... Little Big adventure... I had both of these LBA1 i managed to get working with a few patches and it's great, but I want to get LBA2 going,.. and my CD is absolutley fecked!!!! cheeky graphics,.. great storyline,.. full orchestral score throughout and full speech used too!!! great game, looks like a kids game but it's one of those Nostalga things i think.

Has anyone got a CD of LBA2 they could.... errrrrm,..... 'lend' me so i can fire up this old classic again?

What were your favorite 'oldish' games?

^ Cool Spot!

As a side note, the red spot from Seven Up is due to the founder of the company being albino - he had red eyes.

How come no one has mentioned "Elite" on the BBC Micro?

What a game, I spent ages trying to get elite, but never made it past "dangerous"

Monsters, revs etc, all classic

I thought I was the only person in the world who had played LBA2.

So many great memories, such an odd game.

I probably still have the CD lying around somewhere, if I can find it I'll give it to you at Gaydon.

Edit: Just found the CD, looks a bit scratched but should still work.

Oh yes!! Sonic was awesome. I had a Master System Plus for ages. Brilliant. Alex Kidd was good, I liked that.

I got my PS3 recently, and only have three games at the moment - CoD 3, GT5 Prologue and Ratcthet and Clank, which came with it. I had never played R&C before but I love it. Makes me wish I had played the earlier ones now.

I think you will find there were 4 monkey island games.

The Secret of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 1)
LeChucks Revenge (Monkey Island 2)
The Curse Of Monkey Island (Monkey Island 3)
Escape From Monkey Island (Monkey Island 4)

And for fans of Monkey Island I highly reccomend getting hold of a copy of Grim Fandango, AWESOME
