Worms, warcraft, broken sword and championship manager were what I used to play. Monkey Island was the greatest PC game though, the bit in it where you had to win sword fights purely based on insults and how well you could answer them is classic gaming at its best.

I use to love playing the old space quest games starring roger wilco. A bril sci-fi spoof game.

Other faves,

MDK
Theme Park
LBA
Worms
OutRun (on the arcade machines)
Age of Empires
Flight Sims.

can remember having to load games using about 15 5.25"(?) floppys. the big type, and loading windows 95 with 20 odd 3.5" floppy. Ah, the days before CD's.

OMG ive still got my spectrum sinclair somehere (actually bet thats worth some money now surely) i had the original so no built in tape drive had a completly seperate one. Also it had..... wait for it........

256k of ram!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Used to load game off the tape and used to get black and white bar codes looking thing moving around the outside of the screen will it loaded and this horrible squeal it produced while loading! :P

And me !!
Only the tape player never loaded right and you had to type the game in by hand, which was ok if you had a few days spare and didn't make a mistake :P
Mine's still in the cupboard at my mum and dads house

The old ones are the best mate! Its not the graphics that are important but the game play! Mario-kart, Zelda, Donkey Kong, Pac-man, Tetris - You cant beat them. I would rather play Pong or Breakout than most of the new releases! :P

Whilst I agree in general, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion are pretty damn impressive both in gameplay and visibly.
