Ok, to settle this once and for all. At the end of the day those people who help out on the forum get a little lee way on what they can get away with on the forum. Some of you might not like this fact, some of you might think it unfair, but that's just how we run things. There are times when we have received complaints about certain members of staff or long standing members where we could have given a warning, or told them off about something but we haven't, because they've put in so much work previously that it would be unreasonable of us to have served punishment for one minor thing out of a whole host of helpful things... In fact, The Anorak, there have been numerous times when you've completely berated someone for getting 'their facts' wrong, or come across as being quite aggressive in your replies. So far you haven't been warned once, and I don't think you've even been PM'd about it, and that's because of all the helpful advice you've given out since you joined, advice we're all thankful for.

Anyway, as others have pointed out, none of the staff were worried about my username when I joined 4ish years ago, and I knew no one when I joined, so none of you can say I was getting mates favours there. In fact in the 4 years I've been a member on here I have only ever received complaints about my username twice, once in this thread and once in the previous thread Chris was referring to, and both times by the same group of people who never seem to stop moaning! At the end of the day, if my username annoys that group of people then so be it, I don't even care any more. The only thing I worry about nowadays is that this site continues to be easy to use, and that our members continue to get the information they need to keep their Minis on the road. If one of the other members of Admin want to change me name, then so be, they have my permission.

havent red the whole post but just red Jammys last reply, and i dont see a problem with his username. there are far more important things in life than a screen name, i think some people should open there eyes to these Real issues in life and get over it.

I'm on the side of "get over it", I mean there are more important things to worry about, it is only a name and should be addressed with common sense.

Leave the rule book out of it, all the work the admin do deserves a little lee-way.

no please close it..... this is a pointless thread about your username. you have been on the forum for 4 years.... and im guessing the majority of people have no problem at all with it.

im going to shut up now because its getting to me that people moan about a username when there are so many other things in the world that are far more important.

its a mini forum to discuss mini forum issues. if someone wants to moan about another members name then they can and probably will.
Im not aware this is a propaganda forum and i think we all realise there are problems outside in the wide world without being told. most of us do own TV's.
jammy i think you have indeed been inflated enough. god knows how you will fit your swollen head into your gas guzzler now!
