hmmm, been working FLATOUT on the mini today, so i get that pint off martin tomoro.

got a heavy duty thick walled rocker shaft, and all new gaskets, replaced all the stem seals, relapped no1 valve, cleaned, and put back together, now all i need to do is an oil change, fill it with water and set up the valve clearances

LETS HOPE!

fingers crossed for you :shifty:

looks like the shaft snapped through fatigue at the oil hole, i would think with a new thick walled shaft it would be ok

yer, you have a double oil hole where it snapped, because its that tower which provides the inlet for the oil, sheared straight through, very common with high lift cams on high revving engines, but, should be good, just about to set up clearances.

I noticed you have managed to get it back together, i see from your first set of pics that you dont use spacers under your rocker posts, you should use a set as the arms sit further down at the back on the pushrods and without them it causes more strain on the shaft and the bushes inside the rocker arms due to the more movement needed for the valves to be pressed.
