Well OK. The only other concern I would have about the post is that the bore may have been twisted or distorted. The end of the shaft was at quite an angle and there shouldn't be enough play in the bore to let the shaft do that. Check the fit and tollerance.

yer i will do mate, but it looks like its at a bad angle, i think what happened is it bent then sheared and came out the post. In the picture where i looks like its at 20 degrees or so its not actually inside the tower, lol.

i had a look at the bore, just looks like normal wear but no distortion.

cheers, al

either that or its me getting close with a spanner, sure you no how stupidly positioned the nuts are on these rockers, no way to get to them with a socket or spanner. another carp design like every crank sensor bracket on the market... hmmm dont get me started on them =p

if these are the rockers I gave you alex that mark has been present on the rocker since I had them. sorry to see its collapsed, but yes - no guarantees with second hand parts, especially freebies :)

if it helps, they came off my 1380 which was a minispares engine package and I was led to believe all the uprated parts came from the same supplier.

the block had been re-stamped with a MS...... code which I was told indicated a minispares origin. could be minisport as well though ?

just get it sorted and I'll buy you a beer at gaydon :)

its MINISPORT rubbish! I had a set just the same. the rocker shaft broke in six bits the engine landed in the bin! happened on the straight at Djion.
Minisports comment never happened before! I had the shaft checked and they are brittle and the shafts cannot handle it.
I put a minispares shaft and new rocker in and job done BUT i have not used it again.
