hi there,
i like seeing more bike powered cars coming to holland! kom er zelf ook vandaan
ok englisch please
to make it road legal, what kind of exhaust most people fit in their z-cars? there is room for only one can it presume.
to get it road legal in holland it should be about 86dB?
i almost ready building an 5vy FZ1 engine in a peugeot 106 the promotive way (front engine chain drive)
it drives pretty well but the only concern it is hella loud!! got a original exhaust from an r1 and a cat.
sorry to break in to your topic, but exhaust dB is check nr one when u test it by the "RDW lelystad".

Get yourself a well experienced tig-welder and get him to weld you a custom exhaustsystem. Fit some extra silencers or dB killers. I suggest to make a system which can easily be removed, this way you can use it for trackdays as well. Note that it might temper your engine perfomance, so contact someone who is able to keep engine flow in mind.

Short update on the car.
Did some modifications on the roll-cage and strenghten the car.
A special clamp has been made to connect it to the existing cage.
This is what it looks like from above.
We gave the oil-cooler unit it's final resting place, fixed with a temp controlled fan.
Fitted the fuel-pressure regulator with a special bracket.
Did a lot of work on the loom and electrics. Everything is working as it should right now.
Connected the Jaguar XK (2008 MY) starter button and some toggle switches.
Fitted the seatframes. The seats bolt straight in.
The formula carbon fibre mirrors arrived (thnx for the tip Pete).
And finally the dash, which will get flocked.
Till next week.
Ciao ciao

Very, very nice.
"objects in mirror are closer than they appear"
I very much doubt if they will ever get close!

Pim, that looks like the drive for the so called exhaust butterfly valve that is used with the original exhaust.
It can be used with a turbo and such a valve to not run any exhaust at all

Very nice - your oil cooler fan will work better with no gap or an air box.

Hi guys, it is starting to look like a car again and we are very pleased with the looks of it. Here's a little update on the build.
Fitted the bulkhead in except for the exhaust and top part. We need access to the loom etc.
My brother fitted the ducts and airscoops on the back windows, looks very nice and it's gonna be affective.
Little blink to the past, i've fitted two fuelfillercaps just for the looks of it. Makes the car look very wide from behind.
And here is the one of a kind flipfront in action.
Last picture for today, fitting the dashboard, digidash and switches. I'm of to the shop to get some bits.
Let me know what you think, and thnx for all the positive replies, makes me want to finish the car yesterday
cheers
