hey hey! malvern was good! Mtv were there filming that mark crofts vtec mini. good day had by all i think.. altho me and pete got a tad wet in the scamp but nowt to showt about... mini 5hit run was colder.. anyways.. got me a gear selector i need for the racer and ordered 2 ofset keys for the camshaft so i can see which one is best. sooorted!.lol

hey hey! we collected another mini yesterday. this one will be used to go to brighton as the racer wnt b ready in time. so we shall tootle down in this one. its a 1991 mini city just the odd bit of rust here and there but nothin we cnt chop out and re do.lol. ill take sum pics later and put them up on here for ya.

hey hey. bin up the unit tonite thought id try and get some pics of the new mini to show ya but didnt.. took loads of pics of the 1380 instead.. DOH!! got the cam in and timed to 106 bang on now with the aid of a 5 degree ofset key. locked it all up now and put the Absolulty Ridiculusly Priced (ARP) head studs in... they do look niiiicee..lol have a peek.

I also see your in nottingham, if you have one of your supercharger manifolds finished i would like to have a look and a chat as im looking to make one myself (or maybe buy one off you) for a mini and an mg midget

hey hye cheers for the compliments man i hope it will as good as i wld like it to be. yer im in long eaton in notts ive not done a manifold yet but im onto it at the minute just gotta do a spot of welding to it and i can sort it all out.

What benefit does the advanced cam timing give you?

advanced cam timing gives you the most out of the camshafts shape. if you put a sporty cam in dot to dot you won't get the most out of it as the cam lobes will be shaped differently and have differnt lobe centre angles to a standard cam, therefore you need to time the cam into what it requires. the manufacturer of the cam will tell you how many degrees before top dead centre (BTDC) you need to time it into.

haha cheers james im no pro ive only just learned how to do it.lol only done 2 so far. haha yer if you ring them they will tell you or.. go on frequaently asked questions on here and theres a blog just on cam timing and camshafts

just a quick post about our mini city for brighton... if anyone is has a rear mini subframe they are selling im interested if the price is right. not perfect condition just road worthy, dont want to be welding it though. doesnt have to have anything on it but is a bonus if it does.. spanks kindly!

well hello strangers! longgggg time no speak. i have to admit i have been spending alot of time on another mini forum and whatnot but i have been working hard on my minis yay.

quick post. ill be puttin some pics up on here soon of the mini city featured above as its done now bar headlights in. and as for the racer.. well.. ive nearly finished making the jigs for the supercharger manifolds and intake pipes and will be selling them shortly.. pics to follow

finally got round to taking sum pics of the other mini that we did the front end on that was meant to be for brighton. sorry bout the bad pics tho as the lights not the best. plus sum pics of my inlet for my charger is nearly done.
