A friend of a friend who paints for a living used to 'knock out' paul smith stylee stripey paintings and sold them to offices, dentists etc. He got an official letter from Paul Smith telling him that copyright had been infringed and that if he continued he'd be sued.


I'm sure it would be fine as a one off though.

Hmm they seem to be a rather large company, and have probably copyrighted it anyway so I doubt they would want to have anything to do with it.

And Paul Smith is a really tiny company of course who don't care much about copyright...

I can't see how PanelbeaterPeter would benefit financially from doing this car, and how Paul Smith Ltd would be defrauded of earnings, so I don't think it matters. PBP's will not be a 100% copy anyway, that would be impossible.

It will however, look ace!

You are I believe in a minority if you think that car is hideous.

Can you imagine how much work went into that car, after all it is paint and not vinyl.

its only good because its different. i like it because of that but wouldnt really bother doing it meself. i would prefer to come up with my own idea.
