None taken Che, if you asked me why I wanted one, I couldn't really give a answer, like you say each to their own.

Agreed. The plate your car was built with is part of the cars history and should be kept IMO.

personally i find them so tacky, a bit like names for houses.

the car reg is just a number, a random number that there to identify your car and i can never see it as anything more, i even think that the cooper related ones are too much :D C00 PER etc. actually i dont think they would do a double 00 but there is something similar going about

i think most people cringe at personalized plates, but at the end of the day, its your car and your money, do what makes you happy

Eh? no it's not! it's the same reg number, just a different colour plate. And it's my sisters car, not mine.

It all comes down to personal taste, if you like it then go for it! Just don't be upset if the odd person thinks you're a ******* :D

What i was trying to say is that your sisters car came with yellow plates on the back, yet you changed them for black, although keeping the same number, one its illegal two not quite the original plate's.

Anyway, that's not the issue - Why are so many plates sold if people dont like them, there are literally thousands out there, and some of them bring in ££££££

the most expensive number plate is M 1, which reportedly cost a for a staggering £331,000.The new owner is reportedly a Cheshire businessman who bought the personalized number plate as an investment for his 6 year old son.
