Phone the passport office, tell them that you need to apply for an emergency passport and you need to make an appointment to go and collect it in person.
The number to ring (just incase link no worky) is 0870 521 0410 and that's a 24 hour helpline.
I do hope you can get an appointment today and get it sorted.

We've had to do this kind of thing for work before as we quite often have to travel short notice, so you really can get a passport on the same day. You just need to get on the blower ASAP and make an appointment. In the meantime, we'll keep our fingers crossed for you!

I hope you find it. It will be somewhwere so obvious. The other thing that needs to be done is look everywhere again, if you have time. I've looked somewhere before for something and found it there afterwards.
If not, get down to London...

I still can't find it, and it's really confusing because I'm usually so organised. The only thing is.. my car got broken into about a month ago and there's a possibility that my passport may have been in my bag at the time.. and was consequently taken. I can't remember if it was or not, but i certainly can't find it ANYWHERE in the house

On those links you sent me it says that the service can't be used for lost or stolen passports, and I tried calling that number last night only to be told that there's nothing I can do
Ive just spoken to Norfolkline, who said that they would ship me with a drivers licence and birth certificate, but then gave me the number of French immigration who basically said that i would be refused at immigrations. Argh!
What to do, what to do
