Theres 2K clear coat for models which will work as its made for decals to harden them, but it aint cheap!

Suppose its worth testing if the laquer does react, ive sprayed over loads of stickers before and theyve been OK, but then again some of them did react.

or use transfers that don't degrade under lacquer

Hey cool project, I like the aged look you are doing, don't know if you are keeping it that way, but I like the aged look you are doing.

I stripped and oiled my Gibson a few months ago. It turned out okay, better than before I did it so that's good enough.




it was this ugly blood red before


I also put in some locking tuners. It takes less than 5 minutes to change all the strings and it does not get out of tune. Way better than the gibson cranky ones

cheers for the interest there mister . thats a rather nice guitar, and im jealous you own a gibson!. would kill for a genuine one.

It's just a melody maker, their cheapest guitar, though i like the simplicity of it. Just $350cad (200gbp) used.

hahaha. land rover looks cool from what i'v seen. im considering a new neck to add to the full setup im going to give this thing. maybe a fender one with the logo removed and a custom one put on.
just to add, just been up and laquered the front. it looks great with laquer finally on.
