The Register is our research division so we can gather the masses as is. Once we've hooked them by providing a natty resource for all things Designer, we can drag 'em into the MQC (kicking and screaming if necessary

With the domain name, we really need something that links directly to the name of the car, because people will search on one main thing, 'Mini Designer'. Once active I'll have meta in there that links us to searches for Mary Quant, Mini, Designer, Mini Designer, Austin, Rover, MQC (once we're running) etc... so if they search for something decisively Designer based they'll land on our doorstep anyway.

So, to summarise, we have a serious/useful web-den with the MQC linked into it as a subsection of the site, which is where the social/silly/fun stuff will happen.
I think the already-available "www.minidesigner.co.uk" would do us nicely as a domain name. What say you? Short, sweet and sums it up nicely.

it doesMy initial idea is to run the register site and spur MQC off it as a natural by-product, if you like.

I'm not saying this because it's my suggestion, but 'minidesigner.co.uk' makes more sense. (Plus I'm shy and don't want a direct link of my username as an URL
) alternately, we could try theminidesigner.co.uk...?
lol admit it you are as is yours hehe

ahhh it just seems very formal to me (but thts the way i am i supose)
i like quirky but i supose i can have qerkie inside it
ok
mini designer.co.uk or theminidesigner.co.uk
hmmmm
dunno lol
id say theminidesigner would be least so have it just minidesigner*sub texted maryqcrew haha*

Nope

I can do quirky or formal quite easily, but in weblingo quirky isn't always best - if we're too far out there, we'll scare everyone away

I can amend the site itself to hold The Designer Register titling, but run on to Home of The Mary Q Crew instead of the promo slogan 'Looking Good', that way we have both elements addressed.
(See, I can compromise

We'll still need to retain a sensible address though.

We can use the Daisy as long as we're not making money out of it as that'd be copywright infringement.

This is my first post here. I recently purchased a MQ Mini. I am half a world away from most of you as I am in the USA. I am anxious to learn all I can about this special car. I look forward to your MQ website.

Pretz-dearest, while I appreciate you want to get noticed and get the group out there and people joining. If we use those colours we're gonna have to supply sunglasses with the membership pack, if we deem such a thing to be viable

I'm all for the shape of the logo, but could we do black/white/red to be inkeeping with the cars purrleeeze?

Alternately, rather than me being all dictatorial, what do the rest of the group think about it??
