Correct me if Im wrong but Im pretty sure the 850 ent the squarest of engines by a long shot. And has anyone ever seen the cranks on them. Ive seen twiglets with more streangth so it wont rev that highly. If money was no object, id steel crank it, wack a 7 port X flow head on it, T2 turbo it and add a shed load of nos to get rid of the lag.

Its got to be done though, ent it. You'd be a ledgend if you got it to work reliably. Sounds like a cracking idea I think. Id concentrate on that bottom end if I was you. Only then could you trust your right foot.

850s dont rev much better than a 1275...

after all miglia's are going to 9k....

THE engine to use is the Cooper S 970 which is the squarest of A series engines but the pit fall is that it is like rocking horse poo to find and when you do your bank manager won't be happy :lol:

I say do it, theres nothing like building something that very few others have, uncharted terratory is an adventure into the unknown :grin:

a std mpi is 64bhp....
