I read about an 850 in Miniworld with a supercharger on it (January 2005)
It used a shorrock supercharger, looks a great deal more easy than a turbo if you look at the pictures 11lbs boost @6000rpm 80bhp 70lbs/ft torgue
Owner is Perry Shaw, maybe you could get in contact and ask how its done.

yeah a few people have...
main hill climb people... a turbo 998 puts you in the upto 1.4 class
a turbo 1.3 puts you up to 2.0 or 3.0l
so instead of small cars your up against proper race cars like Catherhams with Vaux 2.0 16v and 300 bhp!

Depends what you want, what you've already got and how you want to do it. For £300 you could buy the standard turbo/carb, head, cam and the madifolds/ down pipe. Pockets would need to be machined into the block of your standard 998 to clear the valves and the standard pistons to have the tops machined to lower compression. Wouldnt bother reboring as long as the engine to be used has a little life left, as when its totaly knackered, just buy another engine for £50 off ebay. Then go have fun and blow it up :gasp: :cheese:
HMMM, i'm feeling tempted, I have many of these parts of sorts, knocking about the garage

The turbo is a brand new IHI unit worth £300 and not the Garrett so I would have to build a tubular manifold. Like I said I'm tempted so I think I'll keep the parts. For sale
Ebay is your best bet but be realistic on a bid price if you're gonna win stuff

Im not sure whether any of u lot have seen it but I opened up a thread ages ago about turboing a 998. Its on the next page. WIL H has got some pretty startling results from his 998 i think.
