I agree with Bean that making the effort goes a long way.

Neil's and my anniversary fell over Riv Run and he had gotten a friend to make sure that a dozen red roses were in our room in the caravan when we got there, neither of us are big flower people but that he put the effort in to make sure that they would be there for when we arrived was so sweet :dontgetit:

Also on my birthday last year, whilst I was asleep he pinned up my birthday card on the board next to my bed so I'd see it first thing when I woke up and he quietly put out all of my presents on the coffee table in my room so I'd wake up to a room of pressies :) :dontgetit:

Just making her feel extra special will go down well, but how about something like personalised jewellery? Or experiences to do with each other, like going somewhere neither of you has been before, or maybe an actvity like digger racing :) to do. Hmm...just pamper her loads! There is sooo much you could do! Maybe she has something she's always wanted to do but never managed to get round to it?

Good luck! :D

Women are so much easier than men are for buying presents! :)

Oh right I have a short memory :P
Could you ring up her boss and get her the day off work, or take her for a picnic in her lunch hour (if it's not raining :dontgetit: )

Its because women arent as fussy as men! :)

Generally I think we're just chuffed they've remembered :dontgetit:

Natalie's idea of ringing up her boss and seeing if she could have the day off is an absolutely amazing one!! Hehe how surprised and shocked would she be when she walks in and her boss is like go away, you shouldn't be here and then you're outside holding some flowers or something ready to take her on a day out or something like that! :D

And anyway, saying she's working on her birthday is no excuse! :) You can buy her an experience or set something up and tell her that you've done it for her. As for saying you're lazy, get up off your butt and do it for the woman you love!!

One thing a friend of mine did for his girlfriend was send her an envelope containing an oyster card loaded with some money and directions telling her to go to this tube station to meet him (he'd already given her a card earlier that day and some flowers). She had no idea what was going on, but did as the directions said, turned out he'd bought them Coldplay concert tickets (one of her favourite bands is Coldplay). Such a lovely surprise :dontgetit:

she has more underwear than la senza and more clothes than next so i am trying to steer clear of those normal things.

Dont complain about that :D

Personalised gifts are the best! :dontgetit:

The best thing Kris has done for me was when he took me to York. He booked an absolutely gorgeous appartment on the riverside. We went for dinner in a fantastic restaurant, then went for a night-time stroll around the city streets - It was perfect! :)

They don't have to be pricey or anything! A little effort and imagination goes a long way!

It's all down to the individual though, really - I would prefer an experience, rather than an object?

Maybe a complete day full of lots of little surprises? :dozing: Flowers at work, little notes/choccys around the house, a few little candles and a massage? :P

Awww Bean thats cute! And your such a romantic :dontgetit: Will you marry me :P :)

Yea, I think something personal, or a suprise and it doesnt have to be expensive

My idea of a perfect evening is a hot bubbly bath, candles, maybe a glass of wine ;) then a nice din dins, then cuddle up on the sofa for a film, and maybe some ice cream.

But saying that Id be happy with just a cuddle.

awww :P

Or if you prefer to spend smething on her what about a spa type day? They are not always that expensive. Can be for just her or a mate, just her or you and her! Good way to relax and get away from it all!!

Ive been thinking about what im guna get people for chrimbo, already :dontgetit:

Good luck- im sure she'll love whatever :)

xx
