What makes a mini tacky?

I think an overkill of chrome - arches, over-riders, mirrors, gutter trim - roof and down the side....can make it look tacky

what are your thoughts?

Definitely chrome, especially chrome wheels, and fully chromed up engine bay, chrome number plate surrounds...

Anything pink and fluffy, and anything with the Playboy logo.

Chrome overkill IMO... there's one in my area with chrome wheels, seams, sills, gutters, numberplate light.... it just looks too much for my tastes.

Haha....and pink minis...I've never understood why people respray minis pink and then try to sell them....who wants to buy that?

Definately agree with the too much chrome thing, my spi had chrome mirrors, bootlamp and gutter trim when I bought it, just looked tacky and didnt go with the car.
Im in the process of changing said items for original black items.
If done right chrome stuff looks great on older minis.

Playboy logo Ruins any car.. to much chrome again, although some cars look ok with the right amount of chrome.

im not a fan of decals especially Japanese writing on non jap cars that just does my head in, got a Cpoo in my village with jap style writing over it. looks gash.

I actually agree with all of Anorak's list.
Especially clear rear lights. Also when people plaster the Union Jack everywhere.

defenatly too much of one colour like crome.
or mix matching colours from wheels to the interior, goto all link in with eachother i think.
personally i think door circles/squares dont look right on there own unless rally style but thats me.

not sure on clear lights, the ones for the mini arent lexus ones, i like them.
