Uh oh! :D

This thread was never meant to rubbish anybody's car at all, and obviously minis are all about individuality...it was more about just general things!

As much as people put stuff on their car that suits their style, there will be people that don't like it! But that's the whole point of it, to spark discussion/debate and get people talking!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that if you have *such and such* on your car it's wrong...because it's not! That's up to you,

I was simply trying to get a consensus as to what people liked and didn't like!

It's funny, quite a few of the things mentioned on here I had on my old mini, but I still loved it!

....Although you may not get much support on your love of BMW Minis!!! I admit they are decent cars to drive...I just don't like the association with the original mini..they're too different in my mind to be considered the same!

and as for rubishing BMW minis don't get me started!!!!!! it's thanks to them all our cars went up in value and has made shows bigger.

Eh? Now you're going too far.

they are here and people are as excited about them as you are about classics live with it and stop being a hater

No you're wrong. If we were football supporters then we wouldn't support all the football teams now would we?

A BINI is just a BINI, where as a real Mini will always be more special.

Plus the way BMW behaved towards Rover and the small Mini businesses was more than enough to create BINI haters.

So we'll just have to agree to differ on this one matey.

:D

One man's drink is another man's poison I guess and I'm not really a BINI hater, I just don't find them in anyway interesting. No more interesting than say a Saxo, or a Corsa etc.

I just like real Minis and I can appreciate them in whatever manifestation the owner has blessed them with.

I do think it depends on the car. I didn't want to offend anyone either, I just think some cars don't suit it. Some look awesome chromed up (like Manfred) but others don't. Even so, its the owners choice :D

That's kind of the whole point...end of the day it's your car, your mods, your choice!

You will always find people who'll like it, and people that won't!...a conversation starter!!

I jus think when you see a bodykitted mini that has everything done on it and then see a classic mini cooper s they both look amazing considering the difference in modifications.

If you pulled up in chav central (maccies car park) then you get more looks in a mini than any other car. Trust me ive tried it :dontgetit: and you get the same buzz in a modded mini as what you do in a rustic one.

mini's to the max! :D

I think if I posted what I consider tacky in the miniverse, then I would probably offend the majority of this forum. :dontgetit: So I'll keep schtum. :D

:) why keep quiet.. i want to know now! come on.... they dont know where you live!!!

Read the last couple of pages :) . If you can't say owt nice, don't say owt.

Exactly.

Or a fight-starter :) . As above, if you can't say owt nice, don't say owt at all. :dontgetit:

i thought the whole point of the mini scene was individually, if everyone thought the same way how *rubbish* would it be. 1000's of cars all the same. each to there own, i don't really like body kits (any of them they just rot cars from underneath) but i would never rubish someones car for having one as they like it. this is a useless thread and just a way to rubbish others cars and hard work. i may sound grumpy but if there was a new comer to the mini scene this kinda thing may scare them off.

and as for rubishing BMW minis don't get me started!!!!!! it's thanks to them all our cars went up in value and has made shows bigger. great car to drive as well.

I heard a rumour hydraulics were a bit tacky... what about them roof racks too... AHEM!

(love you really!)

I can see this thread being very offensive to people :dontgetit:

There are things that I like and dislike about customising Minis, but they are my opinions, so I shall keep them to myself :D Minis are brill because they are all so different!

I was only joking when I listed all my chrome - I wasn't actually offended! :D

I think you can put whatever you like on your car - just bare in mind that however much people say they dont 'judge' the car... they ultimately will be - It's just human nature and differences in personal taste :dontgetit:

It's their problem if they don't like it - Let 'em get on with it! :dontgetit:
