To all you people with OCD, have you seen that American series MONK ?

It's about a detective who has OCD. He can't touch anything, he's afraid of germs. If he shakes anyone's hand, he has to have an antiseptic wipe to clean his hands. He has to walk a certain way. All his umbrellas are lined up in the hallway. The list goes on.

It's hilarious! One of my favourite shows. >_<

When i drop something, or somthings gonna fall the first thing i do is put my hands over my ears. Its just an instant reaction. I think if something was falling on me from a great height id just put my hands over my ears and hope for the best lol. This one isnt somthing i did, but something my friends husband did. He sleep walks a lot, and when he moved to the uk he discoverd spam. He absolutly loved it and ate it all the time (which is odd in itself) One morning he woke up and the bed was coverd in spam. It was all over him and all mushed in his hair. He had sleep wallked to the fridge, got some spam, taken it to bed and rubbed it all over himself lmao. His never gonna live it down.

I am weird, I do a few things which i am in control of but force myself to do these things anyway, a few examples are that every night before i go to bed i say goodnight to my mini from my bedroom window- but i'm sure i'm not the only one on here that does that!
also whenever i take a drink of something i have to swallow the drink down in either 1, 5 or 10 gulps, i don't know why i've started doing this, it is not normal!
and i always need to touch wood to prevent jinxes, even if i think the jinx- is that normal?

Na his one was when he fell asleep on the settee at my moms house, suddenly stood up (still fast asleep) and walked in to the computer room and attempted to wee on my brother. The look on my brothers face was priceless. We just managed to stop him in time.

I also have to touch wood all the time. I dont like to open packets of crisps or tins the wrong way around either.

When things are put down they have to be perpendicular or parallel to an edge of a surface. They can't be at angles because it upsets me. I have to re-arrange friends' stuff when I go to their houses because I can't have a conversation without it staring at me. It's like everything goes quiet and all I can see is a book on a coffee table at an angle.

my mate rob is like that, it's hillarious! we we're on a road trip once, can't remember where to but i was driving and he was in the passenger seat, there was a cd case on top of the dash (in my metro) and he kept staightening it up whenever we went round corners. this encouraged me to go round a bit quicker, this went on for a good 20 mins! the rest of us were wetting our selves laughing but he was'nt amused. in the end he told us all to "go do things" to our selves and put the case neatly in the glove box.

I clean quite a lot, I really like cleaning up. Not my room though but wiping down the kitchen getting it all clean and tidy, cleaning bathrooms etc. I clean peoples desks at work.

I also have hiccups AT LEAST once a day, without fail. Normally if someone says ''shutup rachel'' or ''Rachel you have hiccups'' they stop! :errr:

I also have to check 10000 times that Ive switched my straightners off if Ive used them/ locked the door/ car boot is shut properly/ locked the car etc!

I will lose my keys at least once a day. I really am that bad, it scares me!

Jammy is weird. That is all. Ha, just kidding, he is weird when it comes to folding his clothes, if I do it, its all wrong for him, he has to do it in his own speshul way! :P :( Now thats OCD folding!

Also, this might be really weird but I found someone else that does it to. If I cant sleep one night, I sleep the other end of the bed (like upside down) Havent done that in ages though but it seems to get me to sleep!

I also have a habbit of not looking when im texting so funny things are written. Today I sent a text that said ''Im home now, x x x x wussing'' because I pressed x's too many times and that was in my predictive for some reason. :D

Im weird

I do that aswell, glad its not just me.

I also have that angle thing mentioned . Some weekends i help a mate do discos, when he changes the record he just throws the cases down so there all scatterd about, so i find myself stacking them up, but thay have to be stacked square. And then i sometimes get back up to make the now stacked cd cases are put parallel to the edge of the table. v.strange.

And lately iv'e noticed i seem to have to keep checking that a door is shut once ive closed it. Especially the front door. I double check its shut (as most do) but by the time im in the car i find myself thinking, is it shut? but know it is, get to the end of the road and start thinking did i really shut that door :D.

[*]Have to 'even' myself out... eg. If I step on something with my left foot, I have to find something equivalent and step on it with the same part of my right foot

I have that too, it looks especially weird when I'm walking on cobbles :D

I also have to have everything in the cupboards at home with the labels facing outwards, and if my other half has moved them to look for something I move them all back round, which is apparently very annoying!

The weird sleeping posts jogged my memory. It's happened only once, thank goodness!

I woke up one morning, opened my eyes and found myself staring at an unfamiliar window. Oh, oh! Where am I? :(

It took me awhile to figure out I was still in my room, indeed, still in my bed... however during the night I'd managed to take both my pillows and turn my doona around so I was perfectly set up at the OTHER end of the bed. The window I'd been staring at is the window that's usually above my head.

It's definitely a weird experience feeling unfamiliar in your own bed. :D

If I've got into a particularly deep sleep (very rare occurence)... I'll wake up and for some bizarre reason, think it's Christmas. *Scratches head* Doesn't matter what date it really is, it's December 25th as far as I'm concerned.
