Well as we all know, that little badge on the front of your car somehow determines how good a driver you are.

I was gonna come out with some witty comment about seeing as you got a ford badge etc etc, but wont as when I was driving a beemer E30 shape the ego of the badge does make everyone else on the road infront of you look like something you scrape off the bottom of your shoe....
Its down to the individual at the end of the day, and the majority live and die by the badge.....

My mate did his advanced driving course through work and the guy told him "Don't signal unless there's someone to signal to, although bear in mind that pedestrians count!" I think his theory was that it's just something which takes your hand away from the "10 to 2" position. This guy trains police aswell lol!
Matt.
The theory is also that you think about every action you take and don't leave anything to habit. If there is anyone that would benefit from a signal, then you make a conscious decision to give them one. Just about being more aware of your surroundings.
I'm not saying that signalling as a habit is a bad thing, because it isn't, I'm just explaining the Advanced Driving theory.

The Indicators are there to warn other road users/pedestrians of your intentions, nobody around then no need to use your indicators.
If you get used to driving like that it becomes second nature.
