Just read your entire post.... I usually dont like racing seats and such mods and non standard mini things... But I love yours!!!!! Especially what you have done to the engine!!! Looks superb... MAx respect for you mate So jealous... Keep up the good work and let us know any new things....

I've been after an 'ultimate engine steady' for a while now but can't stand the ones you can buy from places like Mini Spares and Mini Sport, so, I decided to make my own like I have most other things on my Mini.

Here’s what I came up with...

For the actual steady I decided to use a Specialist Components rose joint solid type.

I got busy making the second bracket and forgot to take pics, but you can kinda see it in the pic below. Basically the plate bridges over the manifold and has a 90 degree angle on it to meet the steady, Its strengthened using a triangle piece across the 90 degree and is held on with two manifold bolts.

Nice and neat, small and alot less messing around to get it on and off when needed.
