Interested to see how you get on with this.

Does it simply replace the current injection system or do you have to revert to a carb?

Im already converted to HIF 44 Carb, so should be simple.

Hopefully, just need to get back over to Germany and start work on her. She needs a good service too but fitting this lets me take the engine out the car so i can clean, paint and service all at the same time.

Moving to a new house has slowed down the work. But trailering her to work so I can do lunch break sessions.

Progress finally.

So since last update I had moved to a new workshop in my camp, where I had all my tools, engine hoist and power.

As well as my rally cars in progress.

Then we had a visitor who has since been stripped ready for a 16v conversion...

IMG_2582_zps9090fc9f.jpg

Lifted the engine and gave it a good degrease and clean.

Started to fit my NODIZ components although I lost access to the workshop and had to move back to my lock up garage, not the best of timings when the engine and subframe was off but hey...

Back at my garage now with the engine still out. fitted my dizzy hole bung, timing wheel and sensor, time to start thinking about dropping the engine back in and reassembling...

Progress!!!

Pushed her up onto the drive so I can do some work while the kids sleep.

Old snapped brake pipe off, taking it with the new one to bend in the morning.

Tidied up the garage and set about getting the engine back in...

Realised I had forgotten to remove the dizzy drive...

96A929E0-85D8-49D3-A891-802EBB92FE68_zps

So took care of that and with my little helper Lucas, lined the mini up with the garage and hooked up my crane...

B85EF832-8236-43E9-BF53-B56308D73AEA_zps

Swapped out my engine brackets...

Took off the bonnet and realised I cant put the engine in with the driveshafts still fitted, so its on hold again till Monday.

No room in the garage with the crane set up so she is all wrapped up in the A Series Spares cover and a shitty waterproof one over the top...

Just wish it wasn't illegal to do anything other than go to Church on a Sunday in Germany!
