Hello! This is the start of my mini restoration project. I plan to have the car finished before my 18th birthday hopefully sooner, I have a Tahiti blue Mini Mayfair. Its a 998cc with a manual transition, I have had the car for nearly a year now and little work has started yet because of GCSE exams but I only have one week to go before the work will really begin. For the end of the summer I plan to have the whole car stripped back to its shell and the engine being rebuilt. I plan to restore the car back to new with a few changes of my own such as twin HS2 carbs and some arches but my overall goal is to have a lovely driving car, with a stock-ish appearance. Thanks for reading hoping to keep this thread up to date as work goes on, any help would be much appreciated!

Apart from the pink details in the engine bay your car looks like mine did before the work started ('87 city to 'Mk1 Cooper s')

Presumably it's your first too?

Good luck,

JohnR
