Thought I may aswell start a new thread as my old one was a bit clutterd with various things going on!

Okay well its been over a year since work started on the Mini, and here is how it looks so far!
in short its 71 bl 1000, has had new heritage wings, front valence, bonnet, a-panels sprayed in MG Ignition Blue with MG Pearl Black roof , currently on 10x6 MWS Minilites with MSC 7.5'' conversion kit, new wheels bearings.. & Yoko A008'S, with uprated suspension (below for full spec) with 2.75° negative camber on front wheels!! should be pretty fun around the corners I think you'll agree, although will see how quick the rubber will last.. :w00t: note to self - wheel alignment still needs sorting!

For now it's running the engine that has been in it for the past 7+ years while it was stood outside, 998 a+ but running Hs2's, MED dizzy etc.. not the quickest thing in the world but it will do for the time being while the 1061 is being built, although it's a sweet running motor!

Interior is just 25interior at the mo, but in a couple of months maybe getting some cobra classics if funds allow, its got no sound proofing in it either (as i felt the weight of it and it weigh'd the same as the moon! I bet i'm going to regret this lol but will see in time) so it will be pretty noisy on long journeys! Ive tried to base it on a MK1/2, grille, bumpers-over riders, 10'' wheels, paintwork in the photos is looking a little dull due to the fact that it is next to the safetykleen and has been cover'd with the stuff! Hopfully intime for L2B, but still needs to get an MOT! oh and i also need to pass my test, currently doing my lessons in a Bini! wish me luck!

Hopefully Bevan, cant wait to get it on the road, only driven it up the alley but seems to go pretty well in 1st , Yeah the interior lets the whole car down a bit, could do with some black cobra classics, but have to see how much ive got left after its finished. Did you get your 'box sorted on your Mini?

Thanks 88, Yeah I like the negative camber to, gives it a sort of 'mean look' will be lower than it is at the moment to. Only at that height due to getting it on and off the ramp, and the front wheels rubbing on the wings, but will be cutting a couple of inch's off them so it can be lower without buckling the arch.

Got the oil pressure guage/light working today, reading about 50 when started from cold, So the dash can now be put in place, its only nik-nak's that need to be done on it really, arches, seam strips, speedo cable, to be put in place etc... although I do need to get a cd player to... but my phone will do for now ;)

cheers.

Cheers Monkey, yeah don't see many like that anymore.. also quite comfy to!

Been working on the 'HUU' for the past couple of days..
Got the N/S door flatted with 1200 wet & dry.. has came out really nice, few runs but nothing to serious! also got some new chrome door strips from Heritage, as there ones we had the rubbers where all hard and the chrome was starting to go.. both the doors fit nicely, although the bottom of the n/s does stick out a tad at the bottom, but not to worried about that.

Also got both the group 2's on both the front wing/valence was cut so it dosen't rub and can be a bit lower, luckily its not really noticeable that the wing have been cut, also got the seam strips on, both bumpers bolted on, mk1 number plate lamp now wired in to the sidelights, dizzy guard fitted, speedo cable on, oil & filter change, thought i'd treat it to some Millers CTV 20w50 semi-sythentic oil aswell.. wheel alignment has been set aswell. Fingers crossed it will be ready intime for L2B!! If you see us give us a wave!

Couple of decent pics..
