Is it necessary to replace the split pin every time one has to loosen the castle nut?

-
Vinay-RS
Sweet :) Then I'll buy some tomorrow morning before tackling the job

That's a nice reminder, I reused mine and said I was going to replace it. Better buy some (I seem to have lost a big bag of them)

There are malleable so yes they can be reused if its not obviously fractured, so if you dont have one to hand then the one removed can be reused

Students don't realise how beneficial it is to write neatly in tests and exams

-
hoppus
Noooo not anymore thankfully. I could never write neatly, but was never picked to type my exams :( I don't like exams them selves. how 1 mark can be the difference between success and failure!

Lucky you, no one is a fan of tests and exams. I agree, it isn't really the best way to assess what someone knows with a 3hr paper. That said I can understand that it would be much more challenging to test each person individually with big classes.

I know i opted not to go to uni in the end. and true that would take far too much time!

I think if I'd had more than one wheel stud snap I'd be changing them all out as a precaution. If they are all the same age, matl spec, heat, etc & have seen same service conditions.

Yeah, mini-auto, I did that on the other hub earlier. They were probably overtightened at some point in the past. Might be worth replacing all the studs on all the wheels for piece of mind.

You can be the designated driver. At least 5 people crammed in your Mini.

more like a few bits of data from some software that chucks out tonnes of data of which a large percentage is completely useless. Basically the pictures that I have saved look crap :(

I use Camtasia now to put together a lot of presentation videos. Just a screen capture and editing facility. It's dead easy to use. I know they offer a 30 day completely free trial which is really handy.

never heard of it. I'll check it out. Not sure it'll help in this case as this data is for a report :P

It really upsets me that people in my office are such pigs! They leave rotten food in the fridge and dirty dishes in the sink every single day. It is disgusting

-
Vinay-RS
Yeah there is currently a discussion on the office whatsapp group (includes the bosses) to help come to a solution.
Mar 06 2015 08:39 PM -
Vinay-RS
It appears a solution has been reached. If people leave dirty dishes in the sink they will be washed and locked away. If they leave dirty tupperware in the fridge they will be binned :)

Just learn from Alan Partridge's presentation for Dante Fires (and don't impale your foot on a spike beforehand) :-)

car show today - pretty girl puts her hand on my car. Me: "Please take you hand off my car"... and I wonder why I'm single :P

Vinay-RS
...my house. There was one about 300 km out of town two weeks ago, but I didn't go as I was not comfortable driving that distance in one go. Some guys drove 1600 km from the other side of the country for that show!

Yeah I think they all get a tshirt or sumthin so 15 a year isn't overly much. I think that's it, I love all styles and shapes, mines a LE 30 but no way I'd think about classing a "normal" mini as lower than mine or whatever - there's so many styles, editions etc out there & all just as loveable! Blimey that seems to far away! Some people do go miles & miles for them, unsure if I could to be honest - I'd be deaf and end up rattling as much as the car...
Feb 23 2015 06:28 PM -
Vinay-RS
Ooh a limited edition! Yeah mines a bog standard 1275E (Local model). Some of the guys have really nice rare models, one guy has two mk1 cooper Ss! Some people have minis that are in quite a tired state, but we still love it when they come on the runs because they are our friends :) Yeah same here I cannot imagine driving that distance in my mini, though if it was in convoy and we stopped every 300 or so km, I think it would be a fun adventure.
