Apparently people in the US and UK can ship stuff to the export centre and then the buyer sorts out shipping from there. Or at least that is what I understand about it. Hence the question, I am quite confused

Surely it is illegal for a seller to offer international shipping and then after you win the item, they turn around and say they don't

Could be because of ebays new international thing, which you had to opt out of, if they didn't realise then they'd be offering international without realising.

I haven't paid yet and I won't until they sort out the shipping thing. I guess if they cancel the order, so that I don't pay anything I will let the item pass... It was on ebay. OK so they can cancel the order then?

No! You can't just go cold turkey on ebay. You won't cope and will end up binge bidding. Cut down gradually ...with support from your friends and family.

It is. I thought we were talking km/h :) The mph values are on the inside. So my clubman speedo goes up to 140km/h or 90mph

dive in with you max bid right at the last seconds, risky and I've left it to late before. bidding as you go just pushes the price up as someone will see it and increase their bid and so on

yeah that is a bit pricey... plus when you add shipping and 40% for customs and VAT it becomes unreasonable. Guessing ebay might be a better bet
