Went for a somewhat accidental run down the M1 in the mini today! haha :)

went for a rather damp blast around in the mini today! - now to spend even longer drying, cleaning and polishing it! (how I love classic car ownership!) :D

Awesome stuff! :) The water should run off a lot more easily if you apply a generous layer of wax after cleaning and polishing.

yeah... slight hitch... insurance companies don't want to here about it down to being a new driver and it being an import and stuff... :/
Got a feeling the mini may have to go (it will kill me to do so though!)

Thats why you should always wipe the battery on and lag it with waxoyl, Is the box rotted through ?

The previous owner certainly didn't do that! and the top (inside) section was rotten and there were a few places it had gone through and made holes! cut it out and replaced the panel today - will be as good as new after painting it up tomorrow!
