If you ever feel useless then remember: it's somebody's job to fit indicators to BMWs.

Maybe a stupid question, but is the mpi heater valve very variable? e. g. can you actually control temp at all or is it pretty much 'induction furnace' or 'blast freezer?

I guess hosing the underside and arches down after each run could help?

IMO after every run is a bit excessive, and the water will rust the car. :/ I think underseal would help protect the body more.

@new game - aha it's easy done for sure! haha and city Pete, nice! I have a go at bass when needed, but really I play guitar, piano and the drums... looking for a new instrument to pick up, maybe might look into the Bass, I guess it would be easier to get into as I play guitar already?

Yes I'd say so, I play guitar badly. Trying to not play bass like a guitar is the skill, listening to lots of classic bass lines will get your head in the zone.

Ach come on guys, it's good for you. If your views are firmly held, then it can re-inforce them, if not then it can challenge them. And in the end, it's healthy to discuss / debate (sometimes argue!). You can't deny the amazing wealth of knowledge on here, and we shouldn't be flippant about how lucky we are to have access to it so easily

I've seen me post up a pressing question (sometimes in the midst of a job) and get answers in minutes. That's hard to beat. So what if you come up against difficult opinions from time to time, happens in every aspect of life. Embrace the best and ignore the rest! :-)

hell yeah, as a tool and source of awesome info, I love forums (not being specific to TMF by the way!) I just try not to get too stuck in the depths of peoples' personal opinions too much, as sometimes what you want to do might be less than perfect, but if we all did everything the same way perfectly there would be little to no variation! hehe - side note, I love you TMF, please never go! :)

It was the same for Santa Pod, 50 mph due to roadworks, or lack of. Then have the nerve to charge me £4.80, I think it was, to drive on the M6 toll road. The road avoiding the m6 toll is really poor at a certain point, so decided to use the toll road. :(

I went for the KYB Gas-a-just kit that mini spares are doing at a good price right now

I was struggling to get it insured - 90% of providers I called put the phone down when I said I was 17, had no NCD and it was a Jap import - don't think they understand that it was made here in the first place... but eventually I found a specialist broker that took me on at a pretty good price too - so the mini is staying (would have killed me to sell it to be honest!)
