My exhaust isn't as noisy even though I swapped to a single box centre maniflow from a twin box side rc40. Strange.

Changed my HT leads, wouldn't start, and then remembered the bit of metal and spring in the Dizzy cap, had fallen under the car when i took it off >.< , tightened my top engine steady as it was fair loose! banging a bit when I change gear still. Now I need to jack it up and try and put something between my exhaust and handbrake to stop it rattling >.<

Car washed and cleaned ready for Bingley tomorrow. Early start! Just a shame I found the gear selector rod seal has gone, slow leak of oil, god knows how hard that is to fix?!

Anyone else get oil from where the gear selector rod goes into the gearbox? by the loose rubber, mine is oily and drips a little.

Hmm, it isn't dripping much, just wonder if there are any effects if I left it, did make a difference changing it, other than than no oil?

nope, it just perishes slowly so you have to change it at some point, i just took mine to the garage to do it, bit fiddly and easier i you've done it before :/

Well, I have got the standard ones, with oldish plugs, I fitted the gold sports coil, my guess if I fit the Liminition leads and new BP6ES plugs that don't leak around the head area I will get it working lovely?

Oil changed, dropped a little bit down around one of the spark plugs, it started bubbling instantly and stopped when the engine has stopped? time for some new plugs?

My mate phoned me with a Mini problem. At certain point on the wheel there seems to be something wrong, like a knocking and he can feel it through the wheel? I suggested bearing but it isn't making any noise. It isn't catching on anything either, any ideas?

I can't tell if my engine knocks when I change gear. Does it make some sort of knock when you lift the clutch anyway? Perhaps I am not slipping the clutch enough.

Check the engine steadys, grab hold of the engine by the rocker cover and rock it back and fourth, whilst looking for excess movement.
