Bob is in for its mot on Tuesday, and im gunna let them service him while they scut away and re shape my arches, and then the other jobs i dont have the equipment to do myself. Please dont cost me too much bob, can I have some spending money for the nextfew months.

Had a spare afternoon so stuck Bob the Cooper in the shade for some TLC. Interior leather clean and feed, dried out the carpets, patched up some rust (underside) and stone chips (bonnet), Checked over the engine, give it a bit of a clean up. And then spent hours polishing. Polished with the normal Autoglym Super resin polish, then my normal colour enriched polish by Turtle wax. Just sorting my car redy for the drive out ive organised for tomorow, getting exited now :D Just hope I remember the way :S getting lost with 16 cars behind you isnt good, and i hope my worlds least relible mini behaves :P

Pretty close to selling bob now, other minor issues just adding up :/ and its cost me 12 grand now, 6 in repairbills in the last year, i have 37 quid in my bank now untill the end of the month

He has just torn his own face off D: the wheel hit the arch, the plastic outer arch ripped off, the wing / metal arch has all buckled up into the wheel, its twisted the front around, all the paint is flaking off....... WHY BOB WHY!! I havnt the money to fix him this time and im no good at body repairs, im way too ocd. I could cry. in disbelief.

:/ taken a better look at it today, ive managed to get two of the bolts back onto the s-p arch. as the garage would only pull on it I thort id give it a go on the wing, managed to pull it off of the wheel a bit and back into rough shape, cleaned and touched up some of the chipped off and flaked off paint, going to cote the bigger sections in WD40 so I can use it without it rusting on the drive out ive organised on Sunday, it should be okay to drive, just take it carefully. doesn't look to...

If you didn't know since it came back from the garage bob the cooper has been running really rough, to the point where at 2,000 revs it hold back, looses 10 mph, makes a sucky/blowy/scrape noise from the engine bay, backfires and goes again. And is rough as hell the rest of the time. At first I thort it was just either an ignition issue - damaged ht lead, or just from lack of use. Chatting to someone at work, worked it out its probably the timing belt, so the sucky noise was in fact air b...

Checked valve clearances? Sounds silly but can have a huge effect

AAh right, haven't got into looking into it, I was a little annoyed and took it strait round to him, but im hoping it could be something like vacuum hoses - corroded from being outside, but if its not, I will be ready to kill that garage, and if he dares to put up a fight when it comes to fixing it! :P

it was a sensor on the back of the engine he had clouted when he took it out, adjusted and now all good, runs nicely, one less issue :)

Sorry to here that minigrin it pisses me off that you spend your money and invest in looking after such a great little car and people just cant be arsed to show the car some respect....At least he's back with his rightful owner now!!

Slowly but surely, the box is now being refurbished, went to a local refurbishes on Friday (was planning on sending it to guess works but the garage didn't think much of sending it down to near London from up here near Sheffield), but this local guy he has taken it to is also a mini engine and gearbox guy (don't know who). So im guessing the box will be ready Monday, refitted Tuesday and ready for me picking to car up Wednesday.... hopefully :)
