Sorry to hear that.. My sister has chooks, she loves them to bits. Never easy when animals pass away. We lost a guinea a year or so back, the other one is still going, nearly 7! dreading the day..

Just got a reply on ebay about a car being broken for spares. I asked what engine and gearbox it had as I am after a particular gearbox. The response I got was 'Standard one'. What use is that when there are multiple engines and gearbox combinations for the car.

Try asking a more pertinent question! Some people won't know what you mean and need a push.

I thought what engine and gearbox would have sufficed. If someone asked me this about my mazda 323 that I am breaking, even though I don't know the engine code I could tell them its a 1342cc 16v petrol and 5 speed manual gearbox. Doesn't matter now anyway. I have sourced the one I need.

on my machine (semi automatic) you set the head about 15mm away from the rim but when you remove or fit a tyre, the force of the tyre pulls the head close to the rim as it all flexes. Gotta be really careful.

I never bothered using the head/foot when refitting tyres. And only ever used a metal head when removing, as the plastic/nylon ones flexed far too much.
