Yesterday I cleaned up the earthing point in the boot and then sprayed clear waxoil over the top to protect it. Thinking about it.. was that a bad idea? Will it "seep" in and raise the resistance of the connection?

Copper grease would probably work just as well.

If you look at the metal to matal joint under magnification it like train tracks it will find its way in

I will clean it off then! Don't have any dielectric grease. So whats best, normal grease or copper grease?

Guys I need some advice (again!!!) in all the rain we had, not once did I get any water pooling.. but now I do! It looks as if it coming from under the heater. On tuesday I notice splatters of water on my trainers when I got out, and now I have puddles.... Where could it be from? HELP!!!!

If you have antifreeze in your coolant you will normally smell it inside the car if the heater is leaking.

I can't see any colour, but it has a little more consistency than water, I'm not sure what antifreeze smalls like, but there has been a smell ever since I bought it! I though it was just Mini!!!

Water leak are no a quick job any of them, try running your finger around and be hind the heater a inch at a time to see if you finger gets wet. working your way higher. your squirt pipes are connected to your washer jet .

After some advice guys, how much would a standard 1990 Rover Mini City with 4 owners and 75,000 miles with a MOT in average condition be worth.

Sorry to hear that.. My sister has chooks, she loves them to bits. Never easy when animals pass away. We lost a guinea a year or so back, the other one is still going, nearly 7! dreading the day..

Just got a reply on ebay about a car being broken for spares. I asked what engine and gearbox it had as I am after a particular gearbox. The response I got was 'Standard one'. What use is that when there are multiple engines and gearbox combinations for the car.

Try asking a more pertinent question! Some people won't know what you mean and need a push.

I thought what engine and gearbox would have sufficed. If someone asked me this about my mazda 323 that I am breaking, even though I don't know the engine code I could tell them its a 1342cc 16v petrol and 5 speed manual gearbox. Doesn't matter now anyway. I have sourced the one I need.
