Hi everyone

Well its been a long time since i updated my progress so here goes, both subframes are now fitted and fully bolted in, the engine is complete, carb fitted, LCB and RC40 fitted after a bit of the usual fettling to stop it fouling the floor, subframes etc,
The servo is refitted along with a new set of telflon covered steel brake pipes, quite unusual for a Mini the brakes bled first time with a firm pedal :)
I have also refitted the glass and regulators in the doors, the rear screen and fitted new quarter light seals.
last night i fitted a pair of plastic headlamp bowls and H4 lights which are now working, also fitted the fuel tank and rear lights (i will be swapping the rear lights back to the MK2 lights i have when i get some spare later type connectors to connect to my new harness)
The engine cranks and there is a spark at the plugs so hopefully when i fuel it up it will start!
Anyway less of the chat and what everyone wants - some pictures.

Well after trawling about for a few minutes i finally found my thread on page 8! not too bad i suppose but i really must try to keep progress more up to date.
Anyway, quite a bit has happened since last time, the engine is now up and running, only one minor oil leak from a duff gasket on the oil filter housing, the gearbox also works in first and reverse which is promising.
Front and rear screens are in with the locking strips fitted, doors are built up with glass, door cards handles etc, the rear seat is in, carpets in, so its really coming along now, just got one or two gremlins with the wiring (indicators and hazards not working <_< ) Also does anyone know where i can get bulb holders for 52mm smiths gauges as i can fit the dash until i find some.
Anyway a couple of photos for interest.

Well its been a long time since i posted anything, good news is that i had a real push at the end of March and got the mini on the road in early April, flew through the MOT with one advisery for headlamp aim!
There are a few jobs left to finish (isnt that always the way with mini's) i need to sort out the air vents on the dash, they are not long enough to sit properly in the holes in the wooden dash, i also need to spray the arches in body colour and find some wiper arms and blades that actually work, any way i have added a couple of photos now the Mini is on the road and will take a few more when i get around to it.
The only thing i'm not really happy with (must be getting old) is my choice of diff, i'm currently running a 3.44:1 so if anyone has a 2.95 or 3.1 they want to get rid of please let me know.
Also on the look out for the next project now so if anyone has an Elf / Hornet / 1275GT / Countryman or Van that is taking up their garage space let me know i might be interested.

Been a long time since i posted, the mini is now due for its next MOT :P its done ~1000 miles since last year and started to run like a bag of old spanners towards the end of the year, so it was put away with the intention of sorting it over the winter, well i finally got to look at it the other night, re-gapped the plugs, took the dizzy out and cleaned it up, put another set of leads on and then found one of the lucar connectors on the coil was fractured, crimped a new one on and everythings back to normal. Took it for a quick blast to put a grin back on my face :P
Had a quick swing off the wheels to check all the joints, all looks ok just the rear brakes needed taking up a bit, so its booked in for tomorrow afternoon.
I will let you know how i get on.

Great news, it passed, So here comes the summer! Next job hopefully a RR tune it seems to be running a bit rich at the moment, i still have a few little jobs inside, get the oil pressure gauge to work, board the boot out, the thing i am least pleased with is the MPI carpet which appears to have been made for a totally different vehicle.
Oh well i best get on with project 2 which is still sitting under a tarp on the drive.
