Today, tax disc purchased and fitted (nearly forgot to get it out of the cooper before leaving :doh ), then went to move Pootle and he wouldn't start

no fuel in the tank seemed to be the prob. but we cracked on and got the pads swapped over for Mintex 1144's (i had managed to todge the road ones when trying to get rid of any contamination yesterday) and put some weld on the exhaust joints to try and make sure that there isn't any more issues there
Went and got 20 ltrs of juice and filled up Pootles tank, fired up first turn of the key so moved him out the way while we worked on Jack.
Loaded him up with stuff for tomorrow, went to leave and he wouldn't start again

popped the bonnet, had a poke around the sensors but couldn't see a problem, re-routed the wire to the airflow meter as it was a bit under pressure from the speedo cable and he fired back up? So headed home, fairly steady as need to bed the pads in, but he drove very well. only needed to put the rad fan on when in slow traffic or stopped and a couple of corners i was able to give him some beans around, he seemed to handled well. Got home and stopped at the petrol station just down the road from my house to top up the tank, only got 5 ltrs in before it clicked, so not sure whats going on there? but pootle fired up 1st time (bit reluctant, but fired up) and put him away for the night.
hopefully he will start ok all day tomorrow at combe, will be out at 9:15 and 2:00 (hopefully

)
