That when you are fitting something, it always takes a bit of jiggery pokery to get it fit right.

Not much of an update really. Just been speaking to James and he said there is a lock up going in his village for £100 a month, he says you can fit 2 minis in there, but one would have to be rolled out to work on both of them, it has a solid concrete floor, single roller shutter door and a single double bolted door, its also 7 miles away from me, so might not be able to work on it everyday. Debating what to do.

Take it it's got power?

Is there not a garage at home you can clear out?

Went out yesterday, and didn't really do much, just got all the loose rubbish off from the other wheel arch:

Posted Image

Posted Image

It all looked solid :genius: , but I couldn't resist a poke around, and uncovered a little hole:

Posted Image

Its just along the edge of the wheel arch  . But its an easy fix  .

So treated the rusted areas, then gave everything the first coat of stone chip :D :

Well today, could have done more, but my hands are aching like mad from work :D , been taping all day  , you would understand what that is if you make turbogenerators  . Anyway, gave the arch the first coat of thick stone chip:

Posted Image

Then I decided to get sorting some of the wires out, as I want to get as many of them behind the bulkhead, so it makes the engine look tidier, and so they are away from elements that can cause problems :withstupid: :

Posted Image

Then as I was poking about, came across another small hole:

Posted Image

Easily fixable though :genius: .

Did a little work today after work, only a little bit though :) , put some fibre glass over the hole in the rear wheel arch:

Posted Image

Then while the arch was off treated a little bit of the rust around the lip:

Posted Image

Just ordered an alarm kit and central locking kit off eBay, so can get that fitted next week, I get paid tomorrow too :D , so can buy some more things  . Might not get anything done tomorrow, as I'm going to look at that lock-up, still not decided what I'm going to do :o .

Thanks, its was just a cheap alarm and central locking kit off eBay, it was about £40, not sure if its any good, or what, but will give it a go, and see how it goes. I'm not sure how hard they are to fit, but with my mini all stripped out, it should be easier with wiring, etc. I can get you the link of the item if you want?
