It is a little scrathced :D , but hopefully with a bit of polishing and sanding, I can get it looking nice :D .

Nice work here, going to be a flyer!

Rocker could should come up nicely with a bit of sanding and polish like you said. You going to do something with the alternator housing or are keeping bare metal? I think it looks good in an engine bay to keep some areas bare metal or the muck and grime show very easily.

Must be good living so close to MED just popping in as and when you need a problem sorting or have the feeling to splurge!

Thanks, its great to hear some positive words :w00t: . Yer it should be some nice reliable power :D , not really sure what its going to produce, I'll just have to wait and see :) .

No I'm going to leave the alternator housing as it is, its not going to be a show car or anything, so no need to polish everything up >_< .

Yer living close to MED does help, its just finding the time to get over there somethimes :( .

Thanks again for the reply ;) .

And trying to get there when they are open as they close at 4pm and aren't open at weekends ;)

PS alternator looks nice, should brighten up the engine bay, and go with the other blue bits, like the block and head >_<

Found a bit of time today to do a little work. Managed to sand off a bit more of the door, not sure if to just leave it like this, and spray it black, or do it a bit more :P :

Posted Image

As noone will really see it. Also fitted the petrol tank back in:

Posted Image

After I did, I found the new fuel line was too sort  , hopefully if I route it right, I might be able to get it to fit ;) .

Came home from college early today :D , so did a little work on the mini, but it was very hot today ;) . Well, first I had a go at seeing if the petrol line from the tank, would reach the hard metal pipe under the car:

Posted Image

As you can see, no it doesn't :xxx: , and its only about 30mm off > , ah well, I need to get a bit more anyway, so I'll get some stuff off eBay that Carl (Camp Freddy) has recommended :) .

I then put the drivers side seat belt, and the little piece of carpet in that goes at the bottom of the door:

Posted Image

The seat belts will rarely be used, as some nice harnesses will be in place  . Just need to get some of them eyes to clip the harnesses into. Also I didn't do the passenger side as I couldn't find that piece of carpet :) , so if anyone has a black one spare, you know who needs one :xxx: , thanks.

And finally an on off thing I was doing throughout the day, I was spraying the pully that the fan goes onto:

Posted Image

Will look good when its all together :dontgetit: .

How come you are keeping the belts in when you're getting harnesses? Just seems a bit strange thats all lol.

Probably the same reason that I did the same, because its annoying to strap into harnesses to go a couple of miles to the shops :)

A few reasons really, if I'm just going to he shop or down town, it seems a bit pointless strapping myself in for a 2 minute drive. Also depending on what harnesses I buy, if they are not FIA (?) approved, then without the standard/normal seat belts it would fail the MOT, so I have been told.

Yer I should look good, but also its Hammerite spray, so will stop things getting rusty ;).

No I havn't even looked yet, will more than likely go 4 point though :) .
