Well had the afternoon off work today, really to rest ;) , but the mini was soon calling my name, so I had to do some work on her. First off I decided to get the buckets and carpets in:

And the arn't coming out again :dontgetit: . Next I moved onto the roll cage:

Its fits ok, but it fouled with the internal boot release, so I had to take that off, and I'll get some longer bolts from work tomorrow  lol.

Then the the rear quarter cards keep popping out, so I came up with a little something:

Posted Image

I just popped a small self tapper into that plastic square, and now they hold in nicely :D .

Then I started to sand down the smooth boot, first I drilled out the hinge holes, and the wanted to see how it fitted:

Then I started to smooth the primer:

Arc Angels put the primer on it for me free of charge as they were late with my order or something, but it was all rough, so I sanded it down, and it will be ready for a bit of filling here and there, then might be ready for the black tomorrow night :o .

I covered them in black leatherette, they don't look bad  . I still have to cut out all the little holes and that in the front door cards, but I don't need to do that until they go in :) .

How are you securing that roll cage? looks beefy! door cards are nice as well man :) get your mum to sew a few straight parallel lines down them, would look tidy.

Its only a show roll cage, was originally from Huddersfield Spares, it bolts onto the top front seatbelt mounts, as can be seen from that little bracket, and then rests on the rear wheel arch. Surprisingly its quite sturdy, and its made out of aluminum, so its nice and light :P .

I think I'm just going to leave the door cards how they are, I think the front ones will look quite good with a set of the polished handles on them  , and your not really going to see the rear ones >_< .
