i don't know if it is worth it!!!

i was reading thro the application process the other day - and there is nothing really special about it...., When i started it i was in contact with the mini mag, as they were doing the LE features at the time, but i've emailed them to say it was finished with a few pics, but they haven't got back to me - i might try emailing them again!!

and yes i'm SOOOOOOOOOO happy with it - it pleasantly surprises me everyday, i a perfer driving it over my other one, because it uses less fuel, and cruises lovery on motorways!!!!

Who did you e-mail on the mag? I don't remember getting anything personally but this is a superb build.

Cheers

Jeff

Edit: You PM'd Craig!

i hate to open this again BUT, after waiting in a carpark for my friends this happened:

Posted Image

some bint decided i looked like a post - in the middle of nowhere- and reversed into the wing :D

hopefully i should get the insurance pay out in the next few weeks!!!!

it's really gutting especially as its spent most of Aug off the road with gear box changes, after on the way to IMM i couldn't get it into 3rd or 4th gear.... so i ended up swapping cars with Mr Skimmed for about 5 miles - which was quite scary going from a bog standard 998 to a roof chopped shortened estate in a bucket seat with a quick shift......... and on the way home i drove my green mini while my dad drove the sky, it did alright till the last 10 miles which had to be done in 2nd!!!! FAIL, -

we then did a power gearbox change - keeping the original 3.1 diff over 4 evenings and half a saturday, ready for a local show the next weekend, on the first test drive it jumped out of 4th gear.... the Box had sat quite happily and perfectly under my old 1275 for about 2 years, so annoying!!!,

so 2 weeks later my friend sold me his rebuilt box which again had the 3.1 diff fitted and plonked on the 998, which on the first test run jumped out of 2nd.......... FAIL, but forntunatly it was only a cable tie causing the problem, which my dad have put over the gaitor as he forgot to put it on when we fitted the linkage, so cut the gaitor and cable tied it on, which stopped the linkage going into second propery!!!

shiney new box

we got the gearbox all sorted monday last week, then friday we brought it back into the garage to start the repairs, i was soooooooooo hoping the paint would of been alright above the pinstripe as you can't buy them new anymore :) but it crack with the first hit of the hammer :-

so the repair

Wow.

Its been how long since ive been on?

The first thing i thought id check was your rebuild and what a job youve done its ace.

Some bad luck with that ding though.

Great too see it looking great and being used, mines still in the garage-no time.
