I dunno, I bought it because it was new and very cheep. A custom manifold would be required. It may be a bit big for the five port head though, I was looking at 120 normaly aspirated on the twin cam and with the turbo around 150, 160+, hence reliability issues on the bottom end. May be way off the mark with figures but who can estimate anything on a conversion like this. The turbo is suitable for 70-200BHP, though I would guess that there would be a lot of lag in the low end of its power range.howq much for the turbo, and how difficult to fit to the mini. i.e would it need custom manifold?
Though, may keep the turbo, get the engine in the car normaly aspirated, make it workable, iron out the problematic issues unforseen, then pull it all apart, skim the pistons and then turbo it. Might be able to get hold of a steel crank by then. who knows
