Been working on the mini a few days now. Got the gear linkage on so the mini can move again (engine was stuck in gear without it) and be worked on outside!

I've also fitted the rear bumper which was a bigger pain than I imagined as the bumper fouled hinges so I had to remove them and then had to mess about trying to get the bolts back in the hinges after the bumper was fitted! The exhaust is also fitted which looks mega!
Probably about a month ago had stevede down putting together the electrics with me helping (if you can even call it that).
So it's coming along nicely. Photo's to come very soon hopefully.
Also got some for sale thread's in the Exterior, Interior, Suspension, Engine and Wheel sections so please check them out

Cheers
Chris

The pictures I promised last time of the bumper fitting, also notice the exhaust;

Then Stevede helped me put on the numberplate bracket which I think looks mega

Now I've decided that I didn't like the silver and black number plates, partly due to the quality of them. I always liked Camp Freddy's on his Ratty, so I searched through his thread to find where he got them as I recalled him putting the link on. Well worth it in my opinion. The new above and the old below;

Now in the time since I last posted I have convinced my girlfriend to help in which I'd say between me and Stevede we have converted her! Here she is mid way through fitting the frame rubber

Now we'll move on to Stevede's very nice handy work on the electrics, not a clue what's what but it looks very neat;

Then the not so neat but this is work in progress so we'll give the benefit of the doubt

Another little job which is done, not exactly hard but made me smile was when Emma fitted the centre caps to the wheels, look very nice;

Then finally just a general shot of how it sits now;

That's all for now but watch this space! It's getting sent off to have the headlining fitted soon by Ashley James which will be a huge milestone, looking forward to that a lot!
Thanks for reading
Chris

Where were those raised plates from? I was going to go for pressed metal but the raised lettering just looks so much nicer!

Just got off the phone to a company that will hopefully be tinting my rear screen and rear side windows. Just a smoked tint though

Bit of an update from Stevede that he sent me during the week but forgot to upload.
Gauges being stripped to check how they were and renew any wiring needed.

Stevede saw the pods weren't the best so gave them a refurb which was much appreciated

Then a pic I don't really understand but it looks good anyway

Now Stevede with another neat idea I liked, a multi-plug so I can disconnect the centre binnacle wiring in one disconnection

Then a final pic of the speedo pod with new bezels as the old ones were starting to pit

And finally a thank you to Steve

Hi Louis, I couldn't actually tell you where I got it from as I got it from a stall at Bingley so don't know the company, but seen a few times now at shows so just keep an eye out. He specialises in rare gauges from the looks of it.Looks awesome mate, where did you get that speedo from, not seen one with the rev counter on before?
Cheers
Louis
