Hi everyone,
My names Andy, I'm 17 and I have a Morris Minor (it's not quite a mini, I know, but it's just a slightly bigger variant!)
We are currently having a discussion on the minor owners club forum about how to get younger people involved in the club and interested in classic cars.
I'd just like to do a survey on how many young classic car owners there are out there..
So if you're aged under 30 and own a mini (or would like to own one) please could you just post your age and a little bit of info or a picture of your car if you have one.
Thanks alot for your help
Andy

Hi Andy!
A rather large proportion of our members are under 30 so you may get quite a good response on TMF
I'm 23, bought my Mini when I was 21 as a weekend/fun car (keeping a modern eurobox as my daily driver), I love the scene, the shows etc, and love how it is quite easy to look after a lickle old car and the appreciation you get from other people over them. Driving through central London in convoy for L2B was amazing There are plenty of photos of my Mini in the various links in my sig so I shan't post them up again.
Minis (and alot of classic cars) are excellent if you have little knowledge of cars and want to learn - the engines are basic and there are plenty of performance and aesthetic mods you can do with relative ease (and a couple of friends from TMF!). Also brilliant for new drivers as they are tiddly so easy to park, nippy so good for town driving, and generally a good car to learn how to drive properly in!

PS. People just saying "I have a Mini" - most of us do! OP wants you to say a bit about why you like them I think

they way i got into minis was going with a mate who was already into them, to a mini show! just fell in love with them, then taking to my dad about cars he used to have got me more into classic cars, or more retro cars.
