Well I got Fat Tony into the garage today (it seems im not that quick at tidying up as I thought)

Anyways got some other things to do in the house - new carpets are coming tomorrow but I did remove the windows, and took the back door windows up to the house for some tlc. These will be re-used for the re-build.

Will need new seal though as these are all cracked, scabby and painted.

;)

Just cleaned up the back glass - but it has some pretty deep scratches inside and out (and ones tinted, ones not) so I'll be looking for new glass here. Probably get new glass all round. Normally the scratches wouldnt bother me - but im tinting them limo black ans the scratches will be a lot more noticable then. Oh well - another item on the shopping list.

Just a wee update

Well the back doors are off, deffo need replacing as they are totally wrecked, not even skinnable :(

Hinges are off, gonna chemical strip the pain off them, then tumble polish them back to shiny. Dont know if i'll paint them or have them chromed.

Just found this on the net -

Thats the style that im gonna do for the rear section, over the engine as its gonna make it soooo much to service the car. Obviously i'll need to strengthen the the roof and support structure

For the rear lights i would go for NAS landrover lights, frenched in or left sticking out, come in clear ish too. Do a search for them, on ebay all the time! Clear standard lenses i have never heard or seen of.

awsome, do you know and of its history?

Its gonna be ace once I remove the 8 or 9 layers of paint on it.

Widerim: I looked at they Landrover light, and if I cant find squarer ones, then it will be them that go on.

I got some imperial spanners, and some BIG screwdrivers with the hex on the butt (to use a spanner for assistance).

Just typical that ive got a full toolbox of Snap-On and Mac Tools, and none of them are imperial - and I refuse to pay 120 quid for a few spanner that will only get used on this one car.

Im on the lookout for a 3d cad model of an estate, - clubman or roundnose - i dont mind. Just want to model how it will look when its done.
