Well that's what everybody thinks but the experiments, as I said above have proved the opposite to be true. How hard is it to get out of an aircraft seatbelt? Not hard at all right? Lift the catch and that's that but in a crash and in panic everybody forgets how they work. These things are researched for a reason.

since when was an air craft belt everyday?

i was saying if you use it everyday it becomes second nature. not if it is simple.

Can you play the guitar? I cant. But allot of people can play the guitar, sing and perform infront of millions because they do it all the time.
I do have more examples...

When i rolled my mini, the passenger side roof corner, embedded itself in the seat.. the only thing that saved my passenger, is that when we flipped nose to tail, he HADNT got his seat belt on and flew half out the back window as it went over.

The only thing that saved me, was the awful job i'd done of putting in some mg metro seats that broke away from the floor allowing my body to fly freely in the car as it went over. (i was young and a little dumb.. i welded the metro seat rails to the cross section and put feet on the rear part of the rail so it sat level.. bodge it and leg it style )

I have always wanted a rollcage, and i will be investing in one in the future.. admittedly, because i love the rally look, but i will also make sure i get the harnesses and proper seats too.

I have a remote for my stereo! But as I have short legs, I can switch off my heater or move the slidy thing/push the choke in or switch on my headlights with my left foot!!

Its just a pain as I'm a size 7 i sometimes press the hazards on aswell

Ah so it's not just me who uses their left foot to control the heater when strapped in.

You're never going to be asked to play "sweet home alabama" while trying to escape from a burning wreckage.
An accident is a horrible situation for anyone to be in, and if it was me, I'd rather something simple that could used sort of like a panic button in an emergency. Besides, sometimes you can avoid injury by anticipating the accident and jumping into the back seat (example) - it was on top gear the other day, ranulph fines was on and said that he had a crash in a mini van, he jumped into the back and looked over to where he was sitting to see the steering wheel almost embedded in the seat - in his position, i'd rather something simple.
