So some of you have fitted safety features to your cars which are so restrictive that you can't actually operate your cars safely?

Found nearly 4 quid in change in my bucket seat which has been out the car and in my room for the last 4 months.another dangerous thing, not with rollcages but with buckets, is use harnesses as a must.
i had a crash with bucket seats and a standard belt. because of the shape of the seat, the seatbelt lay across the seat rather than across my chest. when i crashed i was flung into my seatbelt which didnt have time to react. i hit the steering wheel with my chest and sort of ended up on the dashboard
bucket seat steal youre money toodont have loose change in youre pockets with buckets as itl be on the floor in no time...

3 point inertia arent doing the job are they
i wouldnt use them
apparently your not allowed aero relice buckles for the road, so theres been speak but iv yet to be told why
dont think the harness's are legal because they dont have a certain mark, might be best phoning demon tweeks n asking at guess
oh and a Biro down the side of the seat for switches and a remote for the stereo - most important thing!

When i was choosing mine, i did some browsing and saw on a lotus forum that you shouldn't use the aero style ones as they "require a secondary hand action" to get out (or something equally ridiculous) so i just went for normal seatbelt ones, which still are easy to tangle yourself up in and look nowhere near as good as aero style!

eerm, i often undo mine with one hand while i push forwards with my chest....thumb on outside on catch, fingers on the realease and twist, no chance of tangling either as they come apart seperatly, its a hassle to put on (as many hands as that indian god required) but who needs to put on harness's in a rush? unless you were on about tangling with the normal seatbelts
