The bodyshop who are painting it prommised it would be started last saturday and said it would take 2 weeks to do, so in theory ready for collection next saturday (1 week tomorrow). Fingers crossed!

Thats good, hopefully see some regular updates again, that clutch kit sounds a bit steep, are you using verto or pre verto? some of the turbo mini guys are using the double grey set up, and some using a modified verto setup.

Its a verto, thats why its so steep. There isn't a descent clutch out there for them. Dont fancy converting to pre verto because I've got an MED ultralight verto flywheel already.

May just bite the bullet and try it, the bloke says I will struggle to break it and its ideal for my spec. Sounds like a challenge to me

Lol worth a try then, well if you got the flywheel then its worth a try, if you wanted some more info on the modified verto set up check this out, going to be a lot cheaper.

Thanks for the link George, but I decided against the RTS conversion a while ago. I dont fancy bolting two covers together lol, knowing my luck it would come through the bell housing at 6k rpm. Thanks anyway though.

Yes its great news, and I've been given a date of completion, next Saturday (providing there are no nasty paint reactions etc). Thats great, its then down to me to get it finished

Good day out at MITP today, picked up a few bits for the Mini.

A dashboard I won on Ebay on Friday, arranged to meet at MITP to collect it (thats handy!!)



Quite rare (I'm told) Smiths speedo that goes upto 140mph (Just what I need )



And a centre console included



Then I decided to buy some new wheels!!!!!!!!!!!

Had my eye on some Mambas as they have recently been brought back into production, in a few different sizes. Then saw them at MITP and fell in love

Your speedo looks like a 140 km/h one, but with the earlier mph centre to it, abit like this

Thanks for that info and link, I thought I'd never seen a 140 mph one before, quite clever putting an mph centre in it actually!

Its Midland Wheels that have brought the Mambas into production, only been on sale 4 weeks, and I never saw another set of mambas on a car at MITP which is good, nice to be a little different.
