The drivers floor is pretty ropey, what I think I'm gonna do is use the new floor to the 2nd ridge on the back and then pretty much use the entire floor on the front.
If remove the seat crossmember then I can join it up underneath the crossmember. This means that the joint will be hidden and should look a lot neater.
I don't like to remove good original steel unless I have to, its better quality that the replacement panels usually.
It may end up having a crossmember as well, not sure yet.

Yes the front floor is pretty bad, some of it looks like it was jacked up under the floor by the previous owner.

Couldn't find the diff lock tabs to build the diff casing back up that I specifically bought, so not a good day really.
Wanted to build the diff casing up, put a new flywheel bolt in, and fit all the MJ pulley bits, but didn't get chance

I've got to order a descent head gasket too. I want the endine built up ready to drop in for when the Mini gets back.

Went upto the unit today, with tools, to fit the megajolt pulley and bracket. Fitted the pulley, but couldn't find the deep socket to gun it up tight
Also tried to fit the bracket but the original bolts aren't long enough

While progress on the shell is slow, i thought I'd get a few jobs sorted to save me time when / if i get the car back. So I went to the local hydraulics shop and got them to make me an oil feed pipe for the turbo, with the correct banjo end for the GT17 turbo i'll be using. Also gave them the measurements for some oil cooler pipes, so they did those for me too. very impressed

Sorry for the poor quality photos, quick pics from the phone.
Also bought the 4 pots originally from jameswildcooper's s charged clubby, which are ready to go on, just need the hoses.

Not much of an update, but getting there!

Thanks, I've got a few more pics but they are on the camera, I'll upload them tomorrow

Still got to sort out a descent clutch for it, i've seen a paddle clutch kit on ebay so might buy that, but its £250

Also got to sort out the coolant plumbing for the turbo.
