Raz I personally found after I broke my wirst that swimming was the best thing for it, as your not putting a lot of pressure on it and working it very hard. After I had my cast off I went on holiday the next day and went swimming twice a day everyday and after a week of this my wrist was soon back upto the same size as it was.any ideas of how or what i can do to get the strength back in my wrists and arms after they are off?! NO RUDE COMMENTS PLEASE

I was only fairly young at the time and was dreading having it cut off, spesh when he came at me with the saw, think he realised I was scared of the saw and told me not too worry it wouldnt hurt me and proceeded to set the saw going and place the blade into his hand where it stopped right away.

Yea, I am expecting my arms to feel really weak and really light!!!I wouldnt say that it hurt as such, it felt really weird though like my arm felt proper weak and that I couldnt hold it up properlly (had my cast on for 7 weeks due to multiple breaks)

When I got back from Austria I had my left wrist put in cast and they re did the cast on the right, and she took it off with that electric saw thing! I went queezy and nearly fainted even though I knew it wouldnt cut my skin I just thought ''it still might be possible knowing my luck'' just had visions of her cutting my arm up

Interesting to see what my arms look like - shriveled, hairy and lots of dead skin too

Also if you are doing a million crunches and situps you also need to be exercising your back to keep your core stable and so you dont have an imbalance. I used to do crunches (hate hate hate them

Oh yeah its also a common myth that you can get muscular as a woman really quickly..... toooook me forever to get there and not long to lose it

My aim originally was to get fit, then it was to be strong. I think I managed the strong thing quite quick but being a girl my legs were the strongest. I used to love loading up the vertical leg press (one of the only bits of machine I would use) with 500 kg and rep it ... aaaah nostalgia!

Cheers matenot a patch on you though. Just found this thread, quite interesting. Managed to complete one goal last night which was to bench over 100kg, I want to get my deadlift up to 250% body weight (can just about do 200% atm which is 140kg) I managed to v-squat 160kg for 8 reps last week. Dan has given me some encouragement so i'm training even harder atm.
AHHHHHH HAAAAAAAA, here's my thread!!!!
RIGHT, seta whopping record last night.
I benched 157.5kg for 1 rep. it took 10 1 rep sets to get there from 60k.

Raz maybe you should try the COC grippers once you feel ready. They exercise the grip, wrists and forearms. Might be of use to you.
Also if you are doing a million crunches and situps you also need to be exercising your back to keep your core stable and so you dont have an imbalance. I used to do crunches (hate hate hate them) and then do hyper extensions sometimes weighted and sometimes not.

Yea, might give those grip things a go. I have got one of those stress ball things that I keep using, Jammy gave it me

Yea, im still doing the crunches, but I know it wont do much unless I burn the fat off too, like go running, but I cant run at the moment with my casts on because its more hard work and you wouldnt believe how much of my balance has been effected!

I really dont want to get muscular though, so hopefully I wont!
