It's funny when they're fighting over who sits in the front of the land rover, it's funny most of the way through tho. >_<

It's also funny when Arthur says 'Me In The Back Of The Car With My Asthma?' To which Charlie Croker creeps up to him Dr Evil style and says 'One More Word Out Of You Arthur........Alright?' Then Arthur pulls a face and starts babbling stuff so Charlie points at him and shouts 'Arthur'.

Oh and Charlie getting Bill to do all the dirty work, like clean the toilet seat and handle and pick up all the rubbish and he just replies every time, 'yeah okay Charlie'. lol

Oh and Charlie telling Lorna (whose having a fit because she caught him on the job with a group of girls) that he was busy and she had no right to 'come in here causing a fracard'.

Okay I'll leave it there.

 >_<

Yes it's an amazing film and I never get tired of watching it, even though I've probably seen it hundreds of times since I was about 6 years old.

So that was only a few years back like.

>_<

Okay 1973.

Truth be told I was fighting back the tears when they threw the Minis off the cliff at the end. For a child of 6, it was like seeing Herbie getting murdered 3 times over!

So I couldn't face watching it again on subsequent repeat showings, because I found it too harrowing!

But then it got shown again on BBC1 when I was 17 (okay that was back in January 1985) and I was so glad I'd taped it as it was amazing. Even better since I was in the possession of my 1st Mini and then the rest is history.

>_<

The real truth is far worst as they actually murdered dozens upon dozens of Minis before they were happy with the shots.

They had at least a dozen or more (probably more) MKI Mini Cooper S that were driven to destruction carrying out all the stunts by Remy Julienne and his gang.

Then there was the fact they bought a few dozen basic second hand (but low mileage) MKI Minis from Sweden or Switzerland (somewhere like that anyway), simply to dress up like the Coopers and then throw off the cliff until they were happy with the results.

Shocking!

Okay BMC didn't get a mention at the end of the film (Fiat did because they provided just about everything to help make the film), because they just weren't interested in their product appearing and didn't give much (if any) support other than 3 Mini Coopers at cost price (the rest they had to pay for in full).

So perhaps they should have given a mention to all the Minis that gave their lives in the making of the film. Or even provided a public warning at the beginning on how the film contained scenes of extreme Mini cruelty?

:) :gimme: >_<

On the commentary they did say that most cars that did get destoyed came from a scrap yard and had something wrong ie one side gone or no engine it makes it a bit more comfortable to digest but not much!! it's buchery but a good film far better than the remake!!

Oh yes, I've only watched the so called remake once and that was painful enough. Never again.
