Hi guys

The paint is Palinal Multicryl 900. Nothing special to it, just to close the surface of the zinc spray.

Regarding the barstool, it was pretty easy to make. Belive it could be done in a month if you only work on it in your sparetime. It handles well and has a top speed around 80km/t (50 mph). :)

Hi, thanks for the comment

You're not the only one looking forward to that ;)

I hope it will be on the road in about a couple of months. It has taken us (me and my dad) 5 months just to get the bodywork done. Right now it's in the filler and sanding process, ready to leave for the painter in a week or two. Got the W&P arches and mirrors home today, just to make sure they fit.

Must've been the race carb doing it  . Got told it should have 8,5 bhp at 11.000 rpm.

Could you post it when finished? Sounds like a neat project :dozing:

Knebworth 79 - thanks :P Must admit it's not the real progress speed. But it will soon be at normal speed and more detailed posts. I'm grinding and sanding at the moment, not much to post there... :P

Made a stand for the body. This makes it much more easy to work on it

We wasn't really sure of how many of the panels at the back we wanted to replace. We desided to change the lot :P

Posted Image

When so much of the panels allready have been replaced, it would be a shame not to change the rest of the old rusty panels (the roof and the back end were replaced a couple of years ago).

Got more panel parts :P
Posted Image
Posted Image

Started on the floor in the boot (and the rear seat bottom).

Removed the old panel

Then we removed the side panels.

Trial fit of the floor.

Trial fit of the side panels.

Trial fit of the rear inner wings.

After the trail fit of the panels, they were all fully welded

Thanks for the comment

Final chapter to the bodywork rep (I think :( )

Installing the sidebins
Posted Image
Posted Image

Patched an earlier patch in the back seat
Posted Image

Also had to do a bad patch in the "lower-rear window-inner-panel"-thing
Posted Image

Now it's time to make it ready for the painter

Thanks. I've also looked at your project a couple of times. Newer seen a stand like the one you've put on your current one.. but i like it. ;) Certainly must be nicer than lying on your back trying to remove the old paint underneath it, just to get it all in the face

The spit does make accessing the underside a whole lot easier and you dont need as much room because the car turns on its own axis
