also 1293sleeper what kind of bhp would that be running

you would be talking about 220bhp to start with but can take it easliy up to 400bhp more than any mini will ever need i have sean a 950bhp impreza. plus impreza parts are cheaper than evo parts and are easier to come by. there is also a 2.2 twin turbo legacy engine that would fit onto the 1.8 box to do a rwd mid engine mini.

well next summer is engine conversion time so i gotta make a choice. redtop or 1380 turbo or r1? pros and cons :D want to get an r1 really but the missus keeps having kittens about no reverse gear. :(

Yeah I think almost definitely the R1.
Man don't *baby cat* out and get a 1.6 go for the 2 litre :P Haha.

I'm 20, I'll be 21 by the time I've fitted it.
The only thing is the 1.6 and 2.0 use different subbies so if you wanted to upgrade you'd have to splash out for yet another subby.

I suppose it depends on what kind of driving experience you will have had by the time you fit it, if I'd had a 2 litre in a mini at 17 I'd not be here to talk to you now. Been driving 3 years now though and driven a variety of cars, had a lot of different experiences, extra courses, etc., so 1.6 might be better for you. Still be pretty lary though.

well i most probaly want insure it till i'm 18-19 if i do the 1.6 but it will be later if it is the 2.0.

at the moment i have a saxo which will be my first car
