As a Man U fan I've got to say I was heavily disappointed last night. Not just with the end result, but with the total lack of 'show' we put on. I really wanted to be screaming at the TV whilst I was watching the match last night, but I just ended up tutting now and then and shakign my head.

Barcelona totally out played us, we had a reasonable start and I thought it was going to warm up. How wrong was I? >_<

Barca were a cracking team on the night though and they totally deserved to win, simople as that. :D :D

Ah well, always next year :D

roberts that picture is brilliant!

I was really pleased with the result - a really convincing win for Barca. I didn't see it coming at all - it's rare to see a side make Man U look so average but after their initial start it just seemed like they didn't turn up.

I wonder if the result with have any bearing on Ronaldo and Tevez. Tevez I doubt, I think he is quite disillusioned with the board and management now, although if they paid I think he would stay. With Ronaldo I think it will be interesting to see how it develops. He hasn''t given a categorical 'no' answer to whether he is leaving, or would want to leave, which would be an easy thing to do. I think it has got slightly personal between him and Ferguson now, a la Van Nistelrooy and Beckham.

well apparently us and city have agreed a fee with his representatives today... and he's already said he will only play for a top 4 English club, and wants to stay living in Cheshire...

Barcelona basically ran the show. Man Utd had about 2 chances? Maybe 3.
Best team definitely won, couldn't wait to see Ronaldo crying!

United had 5 chances in the first 10 minutes, I admit that was it though...

well were signing tevez so hehe :-

Oh god I hope not...

I was gutted last night, not because we lost but like Matt said we didn`t even give them a game, once we finally got the ball we gave it straight back to them and couldn`t defend.

Ronaldo has been saying he is at the right club all season and I hope that he sticks to that, hopefully he`s seen how poor Real Madrid have been this season.

Tevez is brilliant and thankfully I can`t see him going to Liverpool, he knows how much us united fans love him and hate the scousers and also he wouldnt work in the liverpool team, he`d be on the bench a lot there too as you``ve got torres ahead of gerrard.

I have to disagree, yes he wants to stay at u lot, but... If you don't cough up (which looks almost a certainty) he's coming to Liverpool, he's already said that's his choice, as he wants to be able to live in Cheshire still, as he and his family are settled.

And personally I don't think you played baldly last night, well no worse than you have all season. Yes you won the league, but you did so by beating the 'rest of the prem', not by beating the 'top four'.

Didn't you get something like 2 points from us, Chelsea and Arsenal this season?

And lets face it this Barca team are arguably the best team ever, 157 goals in one season!!!!

So Ancelotti has been appointed manager of Chelsea, with, depending on what rag you read, between £50m and £100m to spend. I wonder how long they will give him...

So the fixtures are out, and loads of people are saying it is fixed again.

For those that are interested I found this blog on the BBC website a good read - it goes into how the fixtures are done.

Liverpool are at Spurs for the first game - I haven't checked but it seems like we always play them at the start or end of every season!

Its been a while but oh well...

The Tevez saga is still not sorted but atleast he has said he is not going to Liverpool out of respect to the united fans, good on him.

True we didn`t do great against the top four but there are 20 teams in the league, we did a lot better against the lesser teams than the rest of the big four which is why we were champions.

lol so nothing to do with liverpool not wanting him then?

i have heard that Tevez will be a Chelsea player next season. i hope so, he is just the kind of player we need up front with Anelka or Drogba. i have also heard Pato from Milan will sign for us very soon. he is meant to be the dogs danglies. lets see how he handles our league.
